The Kelvin Grove Urban Village will groove to a new beat when the Urban Sounds music festival comes to the village. This free, all-age community event will showcase an array of well-known Australian bands and a dedicated children's entertainment zone with performances by Whoa Tilly. There will be giveaways throughout the day and the popular Farmers Markets will operate from 6.00am.

McCaskie Park
- Red Bull arriving with giveaways at 1pm until 2pm
- Nutrient Water arriving with giveaways at 3pm until 5pm
- Other giveaways all day including CDs, holiday for two at Kingfisher Bay Resort thanks to Student Flights and Ukuleles
- Sausage sizzle 11am to 3pm
Kid's Zone (Kulgun Park) activity times:
- Crayola colouring-in station 10am to 4pm
- Barb Fordham and band in Whoa Tilly! 11am and 1pm
- Music workshops by Do-Re-Mi from 10.30am, then every hour for 30 minutes per workshop
