Urban Sounds @ Kelvin Grove Urban Village, Brisbane






The Kelvin Grove Urban Village will groove to a new beat when the Urban Sounds music festival comes to the village. This free, all-age community event will showcase an array of well-known Australian bands and a dedicated children's entertainment zone with performances by Whoa Tilly. There will be giveaways throughout the day and the popular Farmers Markets will operate from 6.00am.

Main stage (McCaskie Park) band set times:

  • Magic Room 10am to 10:15am
  • Tara Simmons 10:35am to 11:05am
  • Skinny Jean 11:25am to 11:55am
  • Magic Room 12.10pm to 12.25pm
  • Fire! Santa Rosa Fire! 12:45pm to 1:20pm
  • Rocketsmiths 1:40pm to 2:20pm
  • Drawn From Bees 2:40pm to 3:20pm
  • The Basics 3:45pm to 4:30pm
  • Old Man River 4:55pm to 6pm

McCaskie Park

  • Red Bull arriving with giveaways at 1pm until 2pm
  • Nutrient Water arriving with giveaways at 3pm until 5pm
  • Other giveaways all day including CDs, holiday for two at Kingfisher Bay Resort thanks to Student Flights and Ukuleles
  • Sausage sizzle 11am to 3pm

Kid's Zone (Kulgun Park) activity times:

  • Crayola colouring-in station 10am to 4pm
  • Barb Fordham and band in Whoa Tilly! 11am and 1pm
  • Music workshops by Do-Re-Mi from 10.30am, then every hour for 30 minutes per workshop
